Established in 1864, Arms of Faith Missionary Baptist Church has been a cornerstone of our community for over 155 years. We have a rich history of serving others and sharing the message of Christ with all who will listen.

Current Pastor: Faye Brooks
The founder of this church was Deacon Henry Wade and several others: Brother John Thomas and Brother Kary Jones. The Pastor at that time was Reverend Fred Wade. Deacon Wade and three other brothers started a prayer meeting on the Old Nesbit Plantation. A conference was called because of those prayer services. It was motioned and seconded that they would see Mr. Nesbit for a place to build a church. Mr. Nesbit granted and deeded them land for a church. They moved from service in a Bush Harbor to search for a spot of land. This spot, Better known as Bancroft is the home of Arms of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
There has been nineteen Pastors over the years. 1st Pastor was Reverend Abe Peterson; 2nd Reverend Sam Levett; 3rd Reverend Steven Owens; 4th Reverend Hudson Williams; 5th Reverend Bass; 6th Reverend Prince Levett; 7th Reverend Charlie Harris; 8th Reverend Morgan Jackson; 9th Reverend Elbert Thomas; 10th Reverend Reed; 11th Reverend A. J. Johnson; 12th Reverend Humphrey; 13th, Reverend W. C. Cook; 14th, Reverend K. T. Bouse; 15th, Reverend Jimmy Lee Bryant; 16th Reverend Esau Green; 17th Co-Pastors James and Bessie Martin; 18th Dr. Marion Jones-Thomas. The 19th and current Pastor, Pastor Faye Brooks. The church is still a vibrant part of the community by interacting with fellow churches, providing outreach and mission services, as well as hosting special classes focused on health, finances, and continuing education.
Church services are held every 3rd Sunday. Sunday School 11:00 a.m. | Devotion 12:00 p.m.
